Compatible with all known antivirus security solutions, Greatis Software’s UnHackMe application will scan your Windows operating system, uncover, and remove Trojans and rootkits. These threats are known for being stealthy and difficult to detect, consequently your antivirus application may miss them. It is a good idea then to run UnHackMe to see if your antivirus did indeed miss these threats.

The system requirements for running UnHackMe are quite low: Pentium 300 processor or better, 256MB of Ram, 40MB of free disk space, any Windows edition from Windows 7 down to Windows NT4. To install the application, you will have to download an 11.5MB archive, extract and run the executable inside, then follow the simple instructions presented by a setup wizard.

There are three buttons at the top of UnHackMe’s interface: Check (check to see if your system is infected), Options (play with a few settings), and Register (register your UnHackMe copy; you can use the application free of charge for 30 days).

As mentioned above, UnHackMe is compatible with all antivirus security solutions. This means you won’t have to remove your existing antivirus to use UnHackMe; the application can run alongside your antivirus. To see if your system is infected by Trojans or rootkits, just hit the Check Me Now! button. Mere moments you will have your answer – and if that answer is “no, you’re not infected”, UnHackMe will offer to perform a more advanced check to really make sure you’re not infected.

When the 30-day evaluation period is over, you will have to get a license to keep using the UnHackMe application.
